My wife stumbled across this professionally written advice how churches can maximise their online presence -
Facebook for Churches - Best Practices
While you may dismiss Facebook as a legitimate outreach tool, consider this: Park Ridge SDA Church this year baptised a new member after a local made first contact with them through their Facebook page. Friendship turned to Bible study and later they got baptised.
Facebook group pages are easy to maintain and even easier to attract new people and distribute messages.
So the question is, why haven't you tried it?

Organic Church
Some may find this threatening, but there is a growing chorus asking Christians to become a movement and expand beyond those church walls. Neil Cole is a fellow Christian who is asking the right questions about whether we can do things differently from the traditional orthodox methods. If use Christ's own model to be-friend, disciple and grow the church then we can obtain today the blessings He poured out on the early church. Check out http://www.cmaresources.org/

Steps To Christ
I love this book as a great way to introduce people to Jesus Christ. Following simple steps in learning of God's love for us and our need to be saved, it draws the reader into committing to have a deeper, more meaningful relationship with Jesus.
The beauty of the book is its size - it can be read within a couple of days. Even better is that some Christians have converted it into an audio book - see http://www.stepstochrist.us

Times of Remembrance
On the anniversary of the Sept 11 tragedy, it is pertinent to remember that in times of trouble it is vital for people to turn to Jesus.
It is difficult to explain why terrible things happen in people's lives. This is when they need Jesus most as he can help them sort through their grief as a "comforter" and friend. 2 Corinthians 1:4 says that He comforts us in our times of trouble and that we in turn can comfort others. This is key with dealing with those who are hurting - to be with them as a shoulder to cry on and to give words of hope and comfort. Ultimately, Jesus gives everyone the opportunity to have hope - for life and better times.

Welcome
Ever wanted to know how to share your faith in Jesus?
The best examples are Biblical but sometimes we get lost in the message or are not sure how to translate the methods into modern life.
That's what this blog aims to do - equip you with the knowledge and tools for sharing Jesus. If you have your own helpful ideas or can point to any useful materials, feel free to post.
